Position Summary
Maintaining and developing the In-House Automation System to Test the Aeroflex TM500 LTE test mobile product range. Good understanding of wireless communications.
A senior automation engineer with excellent working knowledge of Python, JAVA, TCL, PHP, Perl, Ruby, SQL and Apache.
The candidate will be expected to maintain and further develop the Python based automation system, have an understanding of test techniques to apply new features and enhancements and to take on-board new requirements from various departments and develop & integrate them into the automation system. Integrate Matlab DLL’s by writing Python wrappers in the automation system and provide inputs and outputs for use by the test team for test case creation. Integrate and automate new test equipment, as and when required, into the existing automation.
The individual will also be required to maintain and further develop the web based results server as this forms a critical part of the overall testing strategy in Aeroflex.
A strong understanding of version control, as well as the usage IBM Rational ClearCase is a must.

Requirements
The successful candidate will possess some or all of the following:
- Experience of working in a technical discipline, preferably within a cellular environment.
- Have excellent working knowledge of Python and be able to take on-board new requirements.
- Maintain and feature develop the Python based automation system.
- Maintain and feature develop the Web Based results server.
- Continuously looking to improve existing systems to speed up testing and improve efficiency.
- Ability to work autonomously with very little instruction in a busy lab environment.
- Self motivated, self starter with a can do attitude.
- Able to work effectively alone while being a team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and provide good quality work in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates solid aptitude for solution finding.
- Have knowledge of or used the following tools: Matlab, ClearCase, ClearQueust, GP-IB, TCL, PHP.
